Travel support for students

There will be student travel bursaries for OSS16. To be eligible, students must be under 30 years old, actively pursuing a PhD degree and must be in good standing with their department. To apply for travel funds, please submit, together with the abstract of the subject you will present, a short letter of support from your thesis advisor and a copy of your student ID. If a selection needs to be made due to insufficient funds, preference will be given to students nearing completion of their thesis work.

These bursaries may cover, if sufficient funds are available, up to 20% of demonstrated travel expenses (limited to a maximum of 80 and 200 Euro for intra- and extra-european travels, respectively). After the conference, the organisation will provide by e-mail a reimbursement form to each student granted. This form must be returned duly filled and signed, together with the original receipts of the claimed travel expenses, to begin with the reimbursement process.
